Sania Mirza has moved up two spots to 90th in the latest WTA singles rankings issued on Monday.
Out of action owing to a wrist injury, Sania has 740 points . She, however, slipped in the doubles chart and was down to 44th from last week’s 36th with 1875 points.
The family of Sania Mirza have dismissed reports that the venue of marriage between the Indian tennis ace and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has been shifted out of India, and has clarified that the marriage, as planned, will happen in Hyderabad on Apr 15.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik Nikah has been performed on Monday afternoon at the Taj Krishna hotel, the couple looked extremely happy as they got married.
The Indian TV images showed the tennis star was wearing red saree, which belongs to her mother who wore at her own Nikah 25 years back. On the other hand, Shoaib wore a Black sherwani designed by renowned designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil.
Talking about Sania’s wedding, the designer duo confirmed saying, “Yes we are designing Sania’s wedding and reception outfits but we cannot divulge any further details on it.”
Earlier today, Sania Mirza’s spokesperson Rucha Nayak had confirmed that Shoaib and Sania would materialise their Nikah on Monday, followed by mehendi ceremony on April 13, sangeet on April 14 and the reception will be held on April 15 as scheduled.
